Stop the madness

More groups, more letters, more advocacy, more climate action.
Our 2023 focus point is that the Australian government is continuing to approve new fossil fuel developments, and in the words of the United Nations' Chief, this is madness!

Letitions

A 'letition' is one letter with one message, sent by many. It can be signed and mailed with a stamp in a few minutes. In this age of digital communication, your letter in an envelope with a stamp will get noticed by your local member – and we make sure it gets counted.

Managable climate action - handed to you on a platter

Your contribution to the Letition campaign will take you 8 minutes each month and will cost you $1.20. A Letition is a cross between a petition signed by many and individual letters. Letitions all have the same message, individually forwarded and mailed by many. This empowers us to work together and gather strength with numbers. The difference is that where petitions tend to be politely forgotten, individual letters make a much stronger impressions - in particular when posted with a stamp. We are being heard much clearer through Letitions.

Politicians: do the right thing

Listen to the IPCC

Transformation
Confronting the climate crisis requires a complete transformation of our energy sources, economic models and land stewardship. And it is urgent.
Nature
Nature provides major tools to put us back on track. The latest IPCC report makes it very clear: Nature is on our side, we can't do this without her.
Innovation
The despair we feel from climate projections must turn into action and innovation. Solving climate change is an opportunity to tackle problems we have struggled with for generations.
Better future
The IPCC report finds that the right kind of climate action can create a much better future than we imagine. But the 2020s are critical. We must start now.

We can still meet climate targets if we completely transform our economic models and outlook on how we interact with Earth's resources.
